The process for transition to the 2009 revision of Aerospace standards has now been determined and BSI has developed a series of documents to ensure a smooth transition for all of our Aviation, Space and Defense (ASD) clients by the transfer deadline of 1st July 2012.
In an effort to ensure a seamless transition to the new revisions of the Aviation,
Space and Defense (ASD) standards, BSI has developed the BSI AS 9100:2009 Series
transition document which addresses the critical milestones and provides other important information to seamlessly transition to the new standard.
There are two critical dates to remember;
- from July 1, 2011 onwards all audits, regardless of type,
must be to the new standard, 9100/9110/9120:2009;
- from July 1, 2012, your existing certificate will be cancelled if you have not made the transition.
The sooner you can schedule your transition audit, the better in order to give enough time to ensure you meet the final deadline. The BSI transition document will assist you in planning your transition journey.
As always, BSI staff is at your disposal to assist in any way possible.
Please note that transition audits require more time to address added ASD requirements so submit your request now for a transition quote. We look forward to serving you during this process so that you meet the needs of your customer and do not suffer any business interruption.
