BSI’s Overview of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 provides participants with a clause-by-clause synopsis of the standard and information security management system principles. This webinar discusses how the requirements of ISO 27001 can provide an organization with an effective foundation for managing its information security risks and protecting its assets. The instructor explains each control in ISO 27001 so participants understand the intent of the individual requirements. The instructor also explains the relationship between ISO 27001 and ISO/IEC 17799 and what the relationship means for an organization that wishes to implement an information security management system. Participants are encouraged to ask specific questions about ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 17799, and information security management systems as applicable to their organizations.

Prerequisite

This webinar is an introductory course designed for individuals with little or no previous knowledge of ISO 27001.
